John Reed serves as Solutions Leader for the Manufacturing and Mobility industries. He is responsible for Microsoft's global industry strategy, solutions and partnerships in six vertical sectors: Automotive; Travel and Transportation; Industrial Equipment; Process Manufacturing; Semiconductor & High Tech; and Aerospace.

Microsoft’s industry solution portfolio in each sector is inclusive of the full AI, cloud and edge enabled value chain:

Design & engineering, including product design & development, product lifecycle management, connected & software defined products, and autonomy
Manufacturing, including Industry 4.0, factory operations, factory edge and robotics.
Supply chain & logistics, including visibility & risk management, forecasting & planning, and warehousing & fulfillment
Customer experience, including B2C and B2B marketing, sales, service, parts and import/distribution for automotive, commercial, heavy truck, industrial and agricultural equipment
Employee & enterprise solutions, including employee copilots, enterprise finance and operations

 

John is an automotive native, having grown up in Detroit in a family immersed in the automotive industry and resides in Seattle.
